In Response to the Mt. Tabor Shooting

We are deeply heartbroken by the tragic loss of life at Mount Tabor High School yesterday. As a supporting and partner organization to our WS/FCS district, we are here to be of service and support to our WS/FCS students. Please remember that you are not alone, and that we encourage you to talk with someone about your thoughts, feelings, emotions, concerns or worries.  We share the resources below in hopes that they may help navigate our personal and collective grief.

*To schedule an appointment at one of our school-based health centers or clinics, please call us at 336-703-4273.  We have counselors and medical providers that are here to support and talk with you.

*Trained counselors are also available 24/7 through the SAMHSA Helpline – just call or text 1-800-985-5990 (for Spanish, press “2”)

*These resources from the National Traumatic Stress Network may also provide valuable guidance for coping with this tragic event and loss of life impacting our students and families, teachers, school staff, and administrators, and community as a whole.
