Meryl Snow, DO, Medical Director

Dr. Snow has served SHA since 2018. Dr. Snow leads the medical providers and exemplifies quality and compassionate care.

Leah Baker, MMS, PA-C

Leah joined SHA in 2020 as a physician assistant and covers the medical mobile unit that visits various schools in WSFCS. Leah brings a wealth of experience working with children and their families.

Stephanie Wilson-Davis, MSN, APRN, CPNP


Stephanie (Stevie) joined SHA in 2020 as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Stevie is dedicated to treating children and teens with acute illness and injuries as well as promoting health and wellness. 

Sarah “Catherine” Bolton, FNP, RN

Catherine joined the SHA team in 2023 as a nurse practitioner. She covers Moore Magnet School.

Dr. Matthew Hough, DO

Dr. Matthew Hough is a pediatric psychiatrist with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. He specializes in ADHD, OCD, and anxiety disorders. He is available to see patients on Wednesday afternoons in-person at Winston-Salem Prep Academy as well as virtually. He has been with SHA since 2009. 

Dr. Amir Gassemi, MD

Dr. Amir Gassemi is a psychiatry fellow with Atrium Health/ Wake Forest Baptist. He is available to see patients at Mineral Springs Health Center. Dr. Gassemi joined the SHA team in 2024.

Dr. Emily Hayes, MD

Dr. Emily Hayes is a psychiatry fellow with Atrium Health/ Wake Forest Baptist. She is available to see patients at Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy. Dr. Hayes joined the SHA team in 2024.

Dr. Rumeet Gill, MD

Dr. Rumeet Gill is a psychiatry fellow with Atrium Health/ Wake Forest Baptist. She is available to see patients at Mineral Springs Health Center. Dr. Gill joined the SHA team in 2024

Emma Fiore, PA

Emma joined SHA in 2024 as a Physician Assistant. She is dedicated to treating both youth and adults with acute illness and injuries as well as promoting health and wellness.

Fred Huffin, FNP

Fred joined SHA in 2024 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He is dedicated to treating both youth and adults with acute illness and injuries as well as promoting health and wellness.
