Our Programs

The SHA currently operates and evaluates health programs representing the following models of school-based health care:

(1) Comprehensive health centers serving Mineral Springs Elementary School, Mineral Springs Middle School, Ashley Academy, Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, and North Forsyth High School, providing medical and nursing care, mental health care, and nutrition services to enrolled students;

(2) Mental health consultation clinic (MHCC), providing psychiatric consultation and care planning for any child or adolescent enrolled in the WS/FCS who is referred by school personnel or primary care providers;

(3) Mobile medical unit (MMU) serving students at Carver High School, Parkland High School, Cook Elementary, and summer clinic sites, providing the full range of acute and preventive medical services and mental health screening, evaluation and therapy services
